Custom Pocket Sleeve Wedding Programs - Alison and Michael

Just wanted to share these gorgeous custom wedding programs that I created for Alison and her fiance, Michael for their wedding earlier this year. A unique pocket sleeve was used for the presentation which held four separate inserts listing all of their wedding program information. The design was created in a elegant flourish motif in a lovely spring color palette of amber yellow and vista blue tones. Shimmery metallic stock was used for all of the pieces including the inserts that were a stunning metallic snow white which allowed the vibrant yellow and blue tones to literally pop right off of the page. Classic thermography was used to print the entire ensemble and the program was perfectly finished with an accenting monogram seal on the front of the clever pocket design. I loved working on this project for Alison and loved working with her fabulous wedding planner, Holly Tripp of Holly Tripp Event Design as well. It was a complete pleasure working with Holly on this project and I just adore the way that these pieces came together and were an absolute hit with the couple's wedding guests!

Water Bottle Labels ~ Pretty in Pink Pinwheels!

I've been working on numerous water bottle label designs lately since we just relaunched the line on Etsy and this is one that I just recently created for an Etsy client, Misty, who is so excited about celebrating her daughter Eleanor's birthday and commissioned me to created these pinwheel themed labels. I just love doing designs for parties and other events and think that this pinwheel motif is so especially fun, so much so that I will likely add this design along with coordinating elements to offer in our Etsy Shop. SO cute and fun, fun, fun to make!

Custom Monogram Design - Tawny & Jeremy - A Smoky Mountain Wedding

Wanted to share this custom monogram design that I recently created for Tawny and her fiance, Jeremy. Tawny has impeccable taste and was looking for a monogram to be designed to coordinate with the invitation design that she previously had designed with another invitation company and I must admit I was delighted when I saw the photo of the invitations and the gorgeous lace and vintage rose motif that she desired to carry throughout the stationery items for her special day. The invitations are gorgeous and even more amazing, printed on wood! Yes, a stunningly feminine motif of delicate lace and vintage roses printed on a wooden veneer invitation insert. LOVE these and as a matter of fact, Delovely Designs will be offering these unique invitations soon as well! (I will be sharing more details on that soon.)

Even though the design below wasn't Tawny's final selection for her custom monogram, I just loved it so much that I couldn't resist sharing it here. Loving the color palette of rich merlot and cocoa tones and the lovely heirloom feel of this design!

Whether it be something I created all the way from concept to design to final production or if it was a design that I provided for the client that then got transformed into reality by another source or even the bride herself as a DIY (do-it-yourself) project, it is always such a joy when brides send me photos to show me how my work was ultimately used to enhance their wedding day. Images of the pocket fold wedding invitations that I designed and created for Renee and Stuart. I am just now beginning to offer full-service design, printing and assembly on stationery items such as invitations, programs, menu cards, etc. based on availability and wanted to share some images of the final product as well as the design files. I absolutely LOVED the way the final product turned out and the bride and groom received rave reviews from their guests as well!

Outside of pocket fold - embellished with an ivory double satin ribbon band and topped with a coordinating monogram seal for a finished look.

Check out these stunning photos from Danielle and Adam's recent wedding shared with me by their wedding planner, Trisha Cranor of Working Brides based out of Washington, D.C. I have had the pleasure to work with Trisha on projects for her brides a few times over the past year and was thrilled when she emailed me last week with these lovely photos from Danielle and Adam's special day. I actually created several different monogram designs for this special couple late last year and loved being able to see a few pictures from their wedding day. I have included the monogram designs below as well and in fact, the first two have received countless compliments and requests from brides wanting similar designs! The damask pattern I used in the first design was actually then mimicked throughout numerous wedding elements as a central theme design throughout the wedding. Which I thought was a fantastic idea for an elegant and cohesive look and besides, who doesn't completely love damask? Isn't the damask embedded wedding cake simply spectacular as well? Almost too pretty to eat. :) I just love these photos and think that everything turned out absolutely gorgeous for these special newlyweds. Congratulations and best wishes, Danielle and Adam! It looks like you had a pretty perfect day!

New Business Card Design - With Joy Events

I recently had the pleasure of creating the below logo design and coordinating business card design for Shirley and her event planning company - With Joy Events. Shirley was such a pleasure to work with and from the beginning, had a vision of a very elegant and simply chic design for both her logo as well as the overall look of her business cards as well. She wanted something that would make a statement for her company, but do so in a very classic and understated manner. For a subtle, yet inviting appeal, Shirley and I selected a color palette of soft ecru and warm gold hues combined with varying silvery gray tones to evoke additional variance in color, light and textural appearance within the design itself. Crafting the logo concept around the central focus of a flourishing ornate frame design and utilizing a very clean, yet elegantly pretty font the look was completed and the results were a classically sophisticated design that Shirley absolutely adores. (and I do too!)

New Custom Save the Dates - Lucy and Dave

These are the gorgeous designs I created for Lucy and Dave's gate fold styled save the date for their upcoming October wedding. The piece was printed on a lovely blush pink paper stock and once opened, the inside of this unique piece was filled with just the perfect amount of details regarding their special day for their wedding guests including information to assist them with their travel and accommodations needs as well. I absolutely loved putting this design together for them and loved the end results of the printed piece even more!

Front of save the date design - the piece was a gate fold of sorts so the front of the piece opened down the center of the above monogram image.
I thought this was a very chic and elegant alternative to a basic note card styled save the date.

The inside of the save the date which included a welcome note to family and friends invited to the special affair, the necessary information pertinent to the wedding date and even additional recommendations for accommodations and travel services to assist their guests in their planning.

I designed and printed these cute little labels for Elka and Alfred to use at their wedding earlier this month and the couple actually used them to embellish rum bottles that they were giving away as favors at their wedding reception, how fun, right!?! The circular monogram label was used on the neck of the bottles and then the rectangular labels were used as the main labels on the body of the bottles. Such a unique and fun favor if I might add and I loved their unconvential color palette of brick red, a rich celadon green tone and a fabulously beachy blue tone! I also adored the special addition of including a hand-sketched monogram design that Alfred had actually designed himself previously within the top monogram design for an even more personal touch.

L-O-V-E these designs that I recently created for my wonderful friend, Kathryn, for her and her fiance, Adam's wedding this upcoming September. I think it must be said that Kathryn has an absolutely fantastic sense of style and I absolutely adored the vision she had for her wedding invitation design. This made it beyond easy and tons of fun when it came to the design phase because she wanted something that I totally loved and I could totally relate to the design concept that she had envisioned in her mind. I'm not even sure exactly how to categorize this fun and flirty design....I guess I would personally describe it as being borderline vintage charm meets girly-girl sass meets shabby-chic of the new age. Both quirky yet elegant, charming yet fun, classic yet with a contemporary edge and definitely so, so very sweet and whimsical all at the same time. I just love the way the designs turned out and cannot wait to hear what all of her guests had to say about the invitation. Even more, I cannot wait to see and hear all about Kathryn's special day as I know that it is going to be truly unique and amazing!

Custom Company Logo Design - Encore Partners

Here are a couple of different versions of a custom company logo design that I completed for Elizabeth a while back for her real estate company Encore Partners. I love the combination of the slightly-vintage and whimsical inspired ornamental graphic used along with a fairly modern clean-lined font to create a classic design with a contemporary twist for her real estate firm. I also love the bold contrast of the black and red tones used within the design I created for her as well and think that it provides an even more professional yet edgy appeal which is exactly what Elizabeth was looking for in a logo to represent her and her company to their potential clientele.

I cannot get enough of this gorgeous wedding invitation suite that I recently completed for Katie and her fiance, Chino. I actually had the pleasure to also create their save-the-date postcard designs back in March of this year and was beyond thrilled when Katie contacted me again to design their invitations and even more excited when she gave me creative control over the design. This is always something that I love to do! Using their selected color palette of an icy turquoise blue tone and a contrasting vibrant Kelly green type green hue I created the below designs centered around a very elegant damask-esque motif. Katie and Chino loved the designs that I created for them and I have to admit that I, too absolutely love the way that they came out and can't wait to hear what their guests have to say after receiving these beautiful invitations for their special day!

I found this photo in a recent issue of Paper City and instantly became a fan of Brooke Schwab, the wildly-talented photographer responsible for this shot. Don't you just love these cute silhouette chair accents used in Marylee and Richard's wedding, aren't they just completely fun and precious?!?!

I just adore the idea of silhouettes and think that they are a perfect accent to include in not only wedding decor such as these chair embellishments, but they are absolutely precious when used as a stationery motif and included on items such as your save-the-date, invitations, menu cards, programs, favor labels, etc. I just think they are so fun and give off such a vintage appeal when used, don't you think???

At last, another real wedding feature and some more fabulous eye candy from Lynn Michelle Photography. Below are some stunning shots from Kimberly and Brandon's wedding which took place at the lovely Clark Gardens in Mineral Wells. This gorgeous affair was filled with beautiful violet toned floral and other details donning varying shades of pretty purple hues. I actually worked with Kimberly last year on some monograms to be used for accents in their wedding and was so thrilled when I saw these photos from their special day. Simply pretty......exactly what I think of when I look at the save the date design that I recently created for Renee and her fiance, Stuart. I have to admit, I too, was a little giddy when I received my very own save the date to the wedding and saw first hand how awesome the post cards turned out. I am going to be working on their invitation design very soon and have a gorgeous, yet completely elegant and understated concept for this very special design. I just know it is going to be fab-u-lous and will definitely be sharing the design here with all of you, so keep on the lookout for it in the coming months. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this fabulous save the date and accommodations insert design that I just recently completed for Kathryn and her fiance, Adam. Kathryn and I actually used to work together and have been friends ever since, so you can only imagine my excitement when she contacted my about creating her save the dates and other wedding stationery items for her upcoming nuptials. Let me just say, that I definitely had a ton of fun working on creating a really unique and quirky, vintage-inspired save the date for this very special couple and cannot wait to hear what her family and friends say about the design. To complete the edgy motif, a little Texas flair was also tossed into the mix with the use of a fabulous western inspired font. Don't you just love it?!?! The photo is actually one of their engagement photos taken by the uber-talented Kate Mefford of Juxtapose Photography and this particular photo was taken in downtown Dallas near the Neiman Marcus flagship store. And now for something different....this is the save the date design that I recently completed for Katie and her fiance, Chino. Love, love, love the way this design came together and yes, it totally has a vintage throwback kind of feel to it and it certainly is a very unique and fun announcement that I had SO much fun creating as well. In fact, Katie emailed me just a couple of days ago to let me know that they have already sent to out the save the dates to their guests and immediately they starting receiving rave reviews from their family and friends about how much they loved them.

Real Weddings - Kimberly and Brandon

This week's real wedding features photos from Kimberly and Brandon's recent wedding this past January. The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at the lovely Victorian House in Kaufman, Texas. I worked with Kimberly back in November of last year on some custom monogram designs for her and her fiance, Brandon, and I was so thrilled when their fabulous photographer, Lynn Michelle, emailed me a few weeks ago with photos from their special day. It definitely looks like this couple had an absolutely amazing wedding day and I loved all of the exquisite details and decor used throughout the wedding in gorgeous rich crimson tones. From the lush bouquet of scarlet red floral blossoms that the bride carried down the aisle to the monogram details on the ceremony program and reception menu to the fun candy buffet to the fireworks and sparkler send-off, every detail seems to have been used fabulously to truly make Kimberly and Brandon's day as special as possible. Delicate and simply elegant, I absolutely adore this intricately embellished invitation suite that I recently designed for Mary and Kevin for their wedding this upcoming May. Well, I know it's been a while since I have been posting regularly, but I have been very busy the past couple of weeks with finishing up a lot of in-progress projects and now, have started to see the beginning of wedding season upon my horizon as well as countless new wedding monogram, invitation and other detail element inquiries come in everyday. I have numerous newly completed projects to share with you in the coming weeks as well as several real weddings segments with some gorgeous wedding photos submitted to me by some of my real brides. The first of which I will be sharing today along with a new standard stock monogram design as well. I am SO excited for spring as it is definitely wedding season and it makes me just giddy to think of all of the beautiful things I will be working on and sharing in the coming months, so I know I will only be getting busier in the coming months, but I will definitely try not to disappear for so long again in the future. :)

Thought I would share this sassy spring inspired monogram design that is hot off the press so to speak as I literally just completed this project for Monica yesterday. I was absolutely thrilled to hear that she loved the design and now I will be using it to print on 2" square labels that will adorn the favor bags she is giving to her guests on her special day. The vibrant lime green and true orange tones definitely gives this monogram a bold and festive appeal for Monica and Marcus' spring wedding. Spring is on it's way!

It's a custom two-sided business card design showcasing the fabulous See Jane Party logo of course and accented with some interesting floral flourishes for an added textural element and feminine touch. Utilizing their signature golden yellow, black and white color palette this design is truly stunning and has a bold, yet very elegant appeal.

And it is so, so very true! I have to say that I had an incredibly fun time working on this quite unique custom invitation suite for Christine and James for their upcoming wedding this April. When Christine contacted me she definitely had a fairly specific concept in mind for the design aesthetics for the wedding invitations she visualized for her special day and had already decided on a very clean and elegant color palette of sleek black, white and gold tones. She envisioned a fun motif combining some whimsical elements such as swirly scrolls paired up with some type of musical note graphics to create the overall theme of the stationery items. With this in mind, I created the designs below. I love the way that all of these elements ending up tying together quite perfectly giving this invitation suite a truly personalized and sensational look for this special couple.

The fabulous Melissa Caceres from Luxurious Event contacted me recently to create a custom printed label for her wonderful new event planning company. I was more than happy to oblige and put together this fun little label that Melissa will use as an accent for the pretty little boxes that her brides put their wedding cake slices in to take home after their wedding. I designed the label using the classic, sleek tones from Luxurious Event's logo and just love the fluffy clouds used to complete this oh-so sweet design!

First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of posting and my lack of responding to any new inquiries or current client emails over the past week. I had a personal medical crisis and have not been available since early last week. I hope that this has not inconvenienced anyone terribly as I take great pride in what I do and taking care of my clients, but unfortunately this was something that was very unexpected, traumatic on myself and my family and completely unavoidable. With this being said, I will be beginning to return emails and return to working on any current orders in progress, however it will take me some time to get back with everyone due to my current workload and the vast amount of new inquiries I have received recently. I will also be dramatically cutting back on the amount of new orders I will be taking on for a while as I need to focus on my health and my family at this time. These are my priorities and I think that all of my clients, friends and colleagues through Delovely will certainly understand this. I thank all of you for your continued patronage and support and hope that everyone has a wonderful week!

Bride Wars - May The Best Bride Win....

For all of you brides-to-be out there, be sure to make it a girl's night out this Friday, January 9th as the bridal themed comedy, Bride Wars, starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway hits theaters and is sure to be a fabulous laugh for all, but especially all of you ladies getting ready to tie the knot. The story focuses on two best friends, Liv and Emma, (played by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway respectively) and revolves around the planning of both of their weddings and the struggles that ensue between the two brides once a clerical error causes their weddings to be on the same date! (can you even imagine???) I love both of these talented actresses and of course, always love a good chick flick and any movie that has anything to do with weddings, so you can be certain that it is definitely on my must-see list! Wedding Invitation Design - Amy & Leo

Here is one of my favorite invitation suites that I have designed over the past year and it was for Amy and Leo who just got married right before Christmas. I worked on numerous projects for this special couple and have a few more items to share with my readers on a later date, but I absolutely adore the damask patterned invitation suite that I created for this couple's big day! Amy had previously contracted with another invitation designer that had actually fallen ill and understandably, Amy was in a panic to find someone else to create the vision she had in mind for her gorgeous invitation designs and to get them designed in time to go to print and to be mailed out to all of her guests with plenty of time before the big event. Well, Amy contacted me as I had already done some monograms for her recently and we came up with the stunning invitation suite below. The damask pattern was one I actually created entirely custom starting with the main damask design that I also created from scratch as well. She actually had her invitations letterpressed and I cannot wait to see some actual pictures of the finished product as I just know that they had to have turned out so beautifully especially with the stunning damask pattern that was used as the central motif of the design. Hopefully, the wedding turned out as beautiful as I imagine it did and I am eager to see photos from the big day as well. For now, here are the invitation inserts designs and I will definitely post more from Amy and Leo's wedding in the near future!
