New Invitation Design - Megan and Josh

I recently created an invitation design for Megan and Josh for their upcoming wedding this fall using swirling foliage influenced flourishes in burnt rust tones for a truly autumn kissed look. Megan and Josh's wedding will be a casual fall family affair and I definitely kept this in mind for their simple, yet sassy and uniquely modern invitation design. These are the couple's two favorite designs from the selection of proofs that I created for them.

New Save the Date Design - Sonya and Lleweyn

Here's another recent project that I just finished for Sonya and her fiance, Lleweyn. It is a custom save the date postcard design that I absolutely love. Sonya was thrilled with the end result of the design and I just cannot wait to hear what her family and friends have to say after they receive it. I just love everything about this design and have had so much fun creating these personal elements for Sonya and Lleweyn's special day! The first two images are two different picture options for the front of the postcard and the third image is the layout for the back of the postcard design which is in a landscape layout vs the portrait formatted layout for the front of the card. Aren't they the cutest couple?!?!

The Wedding Herald ~ Sonya & Lleweyn's Wedding Newsletter

As previously mentioned in an earlier blog, I have been working with Sonya on many, many projects for her upcoming wedding and wanted to finally share another one of the items that I have created for her and her fiance, Lleweyn. It is a sassy wedding newsletter that Sonya and Lleweyn will be mailing out to all of their friends and family and as of right now, Sonya plans on sending out 2 - 3 additional editions over the next year before their wedding. The newsletter is designed in their selected wedding color palette of a Tiffany-esque blue tone, a light steel gray hue and classic crisp black and white tones. Sonya absolutely loves damask prints and delicate scrolls and flourishes, as I do too, and so, I focused on using these types of elements as the main embellishments within the design. The newsletter itself is just a recap of how Sonya and Lleweyn met, how their relationship blossomed during the time that they have been together, followed by the big proposal and some preliminary weddings details. I absolutely love the way that the newsletter turned out and I just know that Sonya and Lleweyn's family and friends will as well!

Monogram Ideas

I was perusing The Knot website earlier today and noticed their feature on 150+ Wedding Monogram Ideas and decided to include some of the fabulous ideas here for my readers. Of course, I adore monograms and am always finding new or modified ways of incorporating these special accents into your wedding or other special ocassion. Here are just a few of my favorites aside from the normal wedding stationary items that everyone has grown to love! Be sure to check out The Knot when you have a chance and see all of the other exceptional examples they have in their gallery of monogram ideas.

Custom embroidered chair slip covers. A custom monogram design also looks incredible embroidered onto a lovely custom chair tie as well.
Monogram vellum petal cones - LOVE these!
Monogrammed labels to seal lovely sweet chocolate treats for your guests. Add an elegant double faced satin ribbon banding to complete the sophisticated treat for your loved ones.
Monogram embroidered on fun banner to be displayed at your ceremony or reception site depending on your wedding style and venue. Love this variation used for a festive beachside wedding affair!

Monogrammed favor tags - this particular image shows the tag used to adorn a petite bottle of maple syrup, but these fabulous accents can truly be used to accent countless favor options for your guests!
Custom gobo lighting using your personalized monogram - another wedding trend I absolutely adore and think that it provides such a unique and personalized touch for your special day.

I Want Candy!

Although wedding trends seem to always be ever-changing, the beloved candy buffet seems to still be going strong and I for one, am glad that it hasn't faded away like many trends. I love the overall concept of creating a fun and whimsical display of yummy sweets for your guests and think that it can truly show a bit of the couple's personality while also playing a dual role of being a nice conversation piece for your guests as well as satisfying your needs or desires as the bride and groom to provide a tasty favor that your guests will most certainly enjoy. Play up the display with interesting vessels in varying shapes and sizes, use lots of color to coordinate with your wedding theme, offer numerous different types of candies to satisfy every guest's sweet tooth and add a personal touch by displaying a custom sign from the bride and groom wishing their guests "A Sweet Ending" or a "Sweet Goodnight" and it will definitely be a hit at your wedding reception! Don't forget to provide your guests with a selection of delicate glassine bags, elegant petite boxes or other interesting containers for your guests to fill with their favorite treats and complete the experience with a personalized monogram label to seal the deal. Here are some fabulous examples of beautifully crafted candy buffet displays that are sure to keep your guests coming back for more!

Sweet Invite

I absolutely love, love, love these gorgeous lollipop invitations and one bride that I have been working with on numerous projects, Sonya, will actually be mimicking this same type of look for her rehearsal dinner invitations for her rehearsal next year. I have been working with Sonya on monogram designs, wedding information newsletters that she will be mailing to friends and family and a save-the-date design among other things and I cannot wait to see how these lovely lollipop invites turn out once she has them completed. We haven't begun this project as of yet, but Sonya intends to purchase oversized lollipops in a chic Tiffany blue, red and white swirled color pattern and I will then create a label with the rehearsal dinner information that she will put on one side of the lollipop and then I will also create another label with a coordinating design or use one of her monograms to then be adhered to the other side of the candy. The monogram and invitation information on the lollipop in the picture below are actually dyed on the lollipop itself, but I think that using a label to create the same look is a fabulous interpretation. I love this idea and think it is a very fun, unique and sassy way to invite your guests to your special event. I particularly think these would also be wonderful to be used as invitations for a bridal or baby shower as well!

New Monogram Designs - Natasha and Chad

I have been so incredibly busy that I have not been able to post as frequently this week, but I just couldn't resist sharing these monograms that I recently created for Natasha and Chad. I love the contrast of the vibrant pink tone along with the classic black tones and esthetically, it just seems to give off such a dramatic and sleek appeal. I love all of these designs, but particularly adore the last design with the ornate damask print and the lovely scalloped edges around the border. So chic, sassy and all-around pretty, I just LOVE it!

New Label Sizes

I recently upgraded printers and I am now the proud owner of a fabulous commercial label printer that I will be using from now on for all water bottle label, favor label and other specialty label projects. The sizes that I offer have not changed dramatically and for now, the costs will remain the same for printed labels as I previously offered. This printer creates much, much higher quality labels and the resolution and clarity is absolutely amazing. Super clear graphics and fonts on everything that I have printed thus far. I absolutely LOVE it!
Don't get me wrong, my other color laser printer is fantastic, but this one is a specialty printer that only prints labels and nothing else, so it provides a better finished product.

New Logo Design - Merlino Strategic Buying Company

Below is a company logo design that I recently created for Lauren Merlino for her new company Merlino Strategic Buying Company. Lauren is one of the owners of Pretoria Castle that I have worked with on several projects previously and I have talked about these lovely ladies and their fabulous handbags many times as well. Well, Lauren is in the process of starting a new business venture of her own and contacted me to create a chic and modern logo design to represent her new company and to establish the perfect image for Merlino Strategic Buying Company. We decided to create a damask patterned logo using a vibrant chartreuse green and rich espresso brown tone which compliment one another most perfectly and provide the most fabulous contrast within the simple, yet very sophisticated logo design. I just love this new logo and cannot wait to work on another project with Lauren in the future!

How fabulous...

Are these two lovely script fonts?!?!? These are just two of the new fonts that I will be adding to my ever-growing font collection and I just adore both of them. The first one is a bit more flirty and whimsical, while the second one on the contrary is more elegant and graceful. I cannot wait to see these fonts in action and create some beautiful designs with them. I truly think that both of these typefaces are incredibly stunning will look absolutely amazing when used for just the right wedding stationary design!

Thank You!

I have a ton of new projects to share with everyone soon, but I am so incredibly busy right now that everyone will have to be a bit patient with me! :) I have a couple of logo's that I am working on, numerous invitation designs, numerous custom monogram designs, water bottle label designs, custom save-the-dates and more, so stay tuned and I will post updates when I can.

I would also like to take a moment this evening and thank all of the brides and clients that I have worked with over the past few months. Thank you for all of your support and patience in creating your special designs for your special day! It has been an absolute pleasure to work with all of you!

We are truly blossoming right now and I am so very grateful for all of the support that I have received from everyone, from clients to peers in the industry and again, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! You have all been amazing and I am so incredibly excited for all of the wonderful things to come in the future!

Custom Address Labels

Here are a couple of custom address labels that I designed and printed recently for two separate clients. The first design is a 2" circle label that I designed for Emily to use for the return address on her save-the-dates. I used a simple chocolate brown and ivory color palette with a clean damask border to add a little elegance to the label design. The second design I created for Kelsey and Nathan to use for their moving announcements that I designed for the couple a while back. Using clean tones of black, white and chartreuse green I created and printed their custom design using a 1.8" x 1.8" white square label. Custom address labels are a great way to add a little special flair to your wedding stationary or any items that you send to those near and dear to your heart.

Custom Menu Design - Deanna and Anthony

I worked with Deanna a while back creating some lovely monogram designs for her upcoming wedding and just recently completed another special project for her. A custom menu design for her and her fiance, Anthony's wedding reception dinner. A little sassy, but mostly elegant and completely chic, I just love the way that the overall design turned out and think that it is definitely a unique item for their wedding that will be sure to impress their guests! With a fantastic color palette of black, white and just the right shade of pink it all came together most wonderfully!

New Water Bottle Label Designs - Nienke and Jan-Willem

Nienke contacted me last week looking for a very simple and classic design water bottle label design to use for the welcome water that she will be offering guests at her upcoming wedding this weekend in Amsterdam. Although it was a last minute request, I put together this perfectly sophisticated design for Nienke and her fiance Jan-Willem and absolutely love the simple elegance of the design. I cannot wait to hear how wonderful their special wedding abroad turned out!
